Friends in the last post we had to know about homo cyclic molecule and molecular compound. And today we will learn about the acyclic of alkene & Homologous series.
(ORGANIC CHEMISTRY
This is the branch of the exparemental science in which knowns about composition of carbon by the combination of carbon to forms carbonic molecule & molecular compound with structure, properties use known as organic chemistry.)
1) ACYCLIC OF ALKENE
Rules →
1) Longest chain - First time choosen longest chain.
2) The numbring will be started where the double bond will be present.
3) If more than double bond which are present in a chain but chain are shorter then if chain contain one double bond but chain are longer in a both case then double bond will given first priyorety.
4) If the side chain of the carbon chain or the saturated chain is the same position, then it is written in a such a way → 2- die, 3 - tri, 4 - tetra, 5-penta, 6 - hexa ...... etc.
5) If saturated carbon number is not equal position, then it is written in alphabetical order. (ά, Bet)
6) Finally the name of the carbon chain is written.
Example →
(a) CH2 = CH2
1 - Eth or Eth - 1 - ene
( Alk + ene = Alkene.)
(b) CH2 = CH - CH2 - CH3
1- Butene. OR
But - 1 ene.
(c)

Ans → Rules obey → 1, 2 & 3
4,4 - diemethyl - 2- hexene

4 - ethyl - 4 - methyl - 2 - hexene OR
4 - ethyl - 4 - methyl - hex - 2 - ene.

Ans: Rules obey → 2,3,& 5.

The molecule and molecular compound having equal formula method of preparation is called homologous series.
Fact :
Homologous series is defined as →
(1) The molecule and molecular compound having = Equal general formula.
(2) Method of preparation which having = Same general formula.
